Come Back With A Vengeance

Success doesn’t smell as sweet until it has been challenged by failure. When the odds are stacked against you and you’ve exhausted all of your resources; when what you thought was your support system has failed you, one of the hardest things to do is pick yourself up, dust off the footprints of those who walked all over you, nurse your wounds, and keep going.

As arduous as it may be, that’s exactly what I’ve had to do along my journey to Hope. When failure slapped me in the face, although its sting was great, I knew I couldn’t simply sit there holding my cheek, wallowing in its pain. I had to push through my frustration and hurt, turn the other cheek, and continue trudging toward success. There was no way I could allow my dream, the vision, the call to inspire hope, to become hopeless.

When my eyes were filled with tears and my heart battled discouragement, and when some thought I was crazy to pursue such a big dream with little to no resources, the hoper within me wouldn’t allow me to give up.

Quitting may have been an option, but certainly not the one for me. Failure may have reared it ugly head, but the beauty of my dream, and my faith, knocked it out of my view.

With my gaze fixated on success, here I stand – slightly bruised, but not beyond repair. I may have had to pull myself by the coattail a time or ten (Who’s counting?), but I’m still in the driver’s seat, steering toward a HOPEful comeback.

Perseverance is key. It is absolutely essential to keep going when every sign points to giving up. But you know what? No one can do it for you. You have to learn to encourage and motivate yourself along your journey to destiny. If you fall, that’s okay; get back up. Get up stronger and more determined to reach the success of your dreams. Rewrite your plan, and prepare for the perfect comeback. Smile at the past and keep it moving right pass the negativity. Drive your way into success!

Enjoying Hope,
