confident_womanThree ways to work on your dreams in 2017

With the new year upon us, you may be looking forward to a new start or planning a new resolution for 2017. And you may find yourself making goals that are unattainable. Usually this is because they are based on an unplanned dream which has all types of barriers and obstacles. For 2017, change your way of thinking. Instead of starting on something new, think about what you have already and build on it. This is the time to build on the foundations of a business plan, invest in your side hustle or consider going back to school to get a professional qualification to back up your work experience.

You can often overlook the treasure you have within and the opportunities around you. A passion you do for free can easily turn into your own business empire. You don’t have to be on a mission to chase your dreams when you can make them happen right where you are. Don’t be afraid to continue doing what you have already done this year. Instead, just turn up the hustle and work a little harder and smarter with these tips to make 2017 great.

Don’t doubt yourself
If you don’t believe in yourself no one else will. Ask yourself, what’s the worst that could happen? Weigh the pros and cons of your project, make a decision and keep it moving.

Don’t be too hard on yourself
Not even the world and the universe were built in a day. I always say a great tree that withstands the greatest storms takes a long time to grow. Take your time to learn your craft and give yourself at least five years to execute. Sometimes we give up to soon when our windfall is just around the corner. Dig your feet in the ground in 2017 and decide to be persistent no matter what the setbacks are. You are human which makes you prone to making mistakes.

Love yourself
You are beautiful just as you are. You don’t need to change a thing about you. Remind yourself of how great you are every night before you go to bed; write down at least four things you achieved every day. It could be inspiring someone, getting all your tasks done for that day or as simple as being on time for your appointment. No matter what it is, celebrate you and all the talents you have already.

Pray, plan and pursue in 2017!
