Hot Summer Accessories

This summer focus is on bright colors and flowing style. You can easily update your look with some small add-ins or some brand new pieces. Here are our summer favorites:

Beachy Hair – Beach hair is in! Braids to waves, update your style with the looks of the seaside.  Get your long hair under control with a fat fishtail braid to the side of your face. Or, pull your hair into a bun or pony and braid your bangs back. If you are looking for long luscious waves, use a beach spray such as Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray or Garnier Fructis Surf Hair paste. Rub or spray into damp hair and use your fingers to define individual sections. Short hair? Use some molding paste to bring out your layers, add a gemmed headband for some sparkle. Use a scarf, wrap or a soft fabric headband to add some color.

The Maxi Dress – They are super cool, comfy and can easily be dressed up or down. Maxi dresses are the hit for the summer. For daytime, add sandles, wooden bangles and a big bag. For evening wear, add a bright shoe, metallic jewelry and small clutch.

Bright Nail Polish – Easily add a pop of color to your everyday life. This summer is all about the neon nail.  Don’t be afraid to add bright green, yellow, orange or pink to your finger tips.

Neutrals – Neutrals are the must have palette colors of the season. Mix neutrals into your wardrobe with shorts, sunglasses, tanks and sundresses. Focus on soft pinks, taupe, beige and soft gray. For daily makeup, use a neutral lip color mixed with a soft pale eye shadow.

Colored Denim – You can’t go anywhere this season without seeing bright flashes of colored denim. From jeans to shorts, pastel denim is in. There are so many “flavors”, from lemony yellow, to tangerine orange to red-hot red. Mix these individual pieces with neutral colored tops and simple heels or flats.
