With summer starting to show its flare through buds and blooming flowers, all of creation is taking note that summer is just around the corner. We here at Hope for Women magazine want to give you some nifty tips for how you can incorporate a splash of color in your makeup routine, implementing various color trends.
Glimmering elegance: The key to color is to not overdo it, and unfortunately there is a fine line between trendy and the “woman of the night” look that we want to avoid. One way to ensure that you remain on the far side of this line is to stick with delicate pastel colors. While they certainly aren’t as bright, many pastel shades come with glitter blended into them, making them stand out. These light colors help complete an elegant look with a twist of color without compromising modesty.
Drop the pencil: A key way to implement brighter colors on your lids is to replace your usual dark brown or black eyeliner with a thin line of color. After preparing your lid with a light coating of foundation to prevent smudging, use a wet flat brush, and pick up the powder and paint it against your lash line. This method is the best way to implement a bright fuchsia or turquoise or sunflower yellow.
More bang for your buck: By using these methods, you expand the uses for your eye shadow, which reduces the amount of money you have to spend on other pencils. You can also blend your shadow with a bit of Vaseline to make application easier. Don’t forget your bit of shimmer!
