Speaker: Stacy Paetz
It is an understatement to say that I’m blessed to be a part of Hope for Women’s “Be True to YOU” 2012. There are not enough emoticons, smiley faces, or “woop woops” to capture my feelings of gratitude, honor, and excitement to be in the presence of hundreds of amazing women in one room on one very special day.
I will be sharing my version of how you can be true to yourself. I will reveal how you can uncover that often hidden part of yourself, take a strong hard look at your life, and reflect with brutal honesty and vulnerability. How many times have you been going through something that you just knew no one could relate to or understand? I pray that what I share with you will prove that you are not alone. This is my way of being true to myself and true to you. Initially, it’s not a pretty picture, but as we paint our stories from a place of openness that is absent of fear, our pictures will be more vibrant and detailed as we continue to grow.
We’ve all heard the term “leap of faith,” but I have recently taken issue with that adage. It’s not a “leap,” or “skip,” or “sprint.” Our faith is a regular walk. Scripture is intentional, and God knows that sometimes we only have the strength to take a single, sometimes labored step. One step at a time.
I know we will all leave Hope for Women’s “Be True to YOU” 2012 encouraged. We will hear and share great stories of accomplishment. We will begin new friendships and fellowships with women who give us hope. We will be inspired. We will grow.
WE are hope for women, and we are true to each other and ourselves.
See you soon!
With love beyond my own,
Stacy Paetz
