“Write, for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:5b NKJV
In the book of Revelation, the Apostle John is taken in the spirit into heaven to see a series of things and events leading to God creating a new heaven and a new earth. He sees things way too awesome to behold in his natural, physical body-things that would totally blow the mind of any human being, so his spirit would have to do.
In the fourth chapter, he goes into the throne room of Heaven! He sees the One who sits on the throne, he sees the Lamb of God - the only One worthy to open the seven seals. He sees the seven lamp stands, the seven churches, the seven stars, the seven angels, the seven trumpets, the seven thunders, and the seven Spirits of God. Whew! Also, he sees the four living creatures, the twenty-four elders and the hundred and forty-four thousand chosen ones. He sees the end of time as we now know it. Yes, he had to be in the spirit to be able to comprehend so much of God’s glory!!
Then he’s told to go and write all that he’s seen, because everything is true and faithful (each will indeed happen!) And many of us can testify that the things John wrote about thousands of years ago are indeed things that have come to pass or may be unfolding before our eyes. There’s even more to come.
Several times, throughout the book of Revelation, John refers to the Lord as, “He Who is, Who was and Who is to come”. God also states that He’s Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. And Jesus tells us, in this very same book, that He’s the First and the Last.
In Revelation 19:11, Jesus is called Faithful and True and in the thirteenth verse, He’s called the Word of God! Those are His names! Then in verse 21, the Lord tells John to “Write, for these words are true and faithful”, which sounds like the Word of God is Faithful and True. (Everything always comes back to Jesus Christ being the focal point.)
The Apostle John was commissioned to write the book of Revelation, not to scare anyone, but to ultimately tell us that in the end, we WIN! The Believers in Christ are indeed the victors!! So, if God is the Beginning and the End and if Jesus is the First and the Last, then why worry about tomorrow, since They’ve already been there?!

I love it that in GOD’s eyes, I’ve already been declared a winner. Thru out my childhood, I had many shout, “Loser.” But let the naysayers say what they want. It’s always & ALL gonna be ok. Because God said so! “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!!”
