~Walking in Style

As the escalator rose to the top floor of the department store, my pulse began to increase.
I anxiously climbed the steel steps to get closer
to my destination, the shoe department.
Although I possess a deep appreciation for apparel, my love for shoes is undying.
I held my breath as I was confronted with what seemed like never ending rows of eye candy.
I strongly believe that shoes are a critical part to the completion of a fabulous ensemble.
So treat your feet this season, by having the “must haves” in your closet.
The Fashionista rules for shoes:
Rule 1: The classic black pump The black pump is an essential investment because it never goes out of style. Explore different textures, (such as matte leather, patent, or suede) but keep it simple and elegant. The pump’s versatility allows you to wear it to the office, church or dinner. Make sure to select a heel size that is best suited for your comfort.
Rule 2: Ballet flats Capitalize on the comfort and style of the ballet flat; they have replaced the traditional loafer. Play with patterns and colors; they can be worn with day dresses or even jeans and are ideal for the chic woman on the go.
Rule 3: The show stopping high heel We all know that one heel that makes us feel like a supermodel! This season’s show stopper is any metallic heel with a bit of glitz-try pairing with an evening dress. Allow the heel to be a little higher than a traditional business shoe.
Rule 4: The embellished sandal Beautifully embellished sandals are the shoe of the season. Inexpensive and glamorous, designers have taken the traditional sandal and put a spin on it by adding jewels and straps. You’ll find a variety of styles ranging from flats, to wedges, to roman (flat w/ straps). So try adding a touch of sparkle to your ensemble with the embellished sandal.
Rule 5: Walking The most important steps in any woman’s life are the ones in her spiritual walk! So put on your fabulous shoes, stand firm, and walk the path that God has provided!
Go forth and be gorgeous! ♥ Your Fashionista
